I think the biggest problem with trying to do a 440 Corbon in an AMT Automag IV would be that the magazine would need to be WIDENED to hold the fatter, 50AE/440 Corbon case.  There is a noticable difference in width between the 45 winmag magazine and 50 AE magazines I have for My Lar Grizzly and I'm assuming that will be the case when my Automag IV arives with respect to the mags.  Now that I've given this a bit of thought about the bolt face, I know that the 45 winmag is just a beefed up and extended 45acp I imagine the boltface would be the same size as anyother 45acp boltface...

Here in Mid U.S.A. I would prefer something that would match some of my Covina barrels. In .44 and .357  8 1/2 "   I would also like Tony Rumor to make me a 6 1/2 " .440 Corbon  barrel for my MK 5 LAR Grizzly , but don't know if I can talk him in to it .  I heard he made himself one (Pac nor blank )and it took 8 hrs of machine work . $$$$$ I am still looking for a Automag IV slide to put on my III and while I'm dreaming a 10mm mag barrel .

Update[We are very close to manufacturing barrels. In fact, I'm going over to try and finalize everything today. If all goes well, we are all back in business!!! Say a prayer, cross your fingers or what ever you do.

It's still in the works guys. I just met with someone yesterday that seemed interested in teaming up to get this done. From the posts, its obvious to me that the market is ripe. However, these barrels, once someone sees them, seem to scare others away. I will keep you all posted.

I could care less about barrels. How about making the barrel extentions. That's what is really needed.
