I’m also looking for some hammerstruts as I’m collecting 3 used automag iii pistols in 30 carbine in a few weeks, and this will probably be a part that I will have to replace in a few of them.
If anyone has a technical drawing with exact dimensions, that would also be interesting! Then I can try to find a machinist to make me some… |

Hello, I’m a new user here and looking for a replacement hammer strut for my Automag III so I can shoot it again. One of my favorite handguns and like others I’ve been unable to find a replacement. If anyone who has had some made has an extra they would be willing to sell, please message me and I would be very grateful!

A very talented friend of mine created this easy to follow Tutorial of "How To Change A Hammer Strut In An Automag III,IV,and V ". Hopefully this will help someone get through the ordeal. If you find yourself in need of a replacement strut, I have strut upgrades available. They appear identical to the original, but are made of a much stronger material. You will not need a spare. |

Redline Plus, thanks for the instructional. If I recall correctly, the task frequently seemed to require three hands. Not being so endowed I found a piece of scrap wood that fit fairly snugly into the magazine well and cut one end of it to match the grip angle. Attaching that end to a piece of one-by and clamping the one-by to my workbench gave me a stand for the frame so I could use both hands for the work.
