Guys,
This gun is breathlessly advertised as a prototype. What say you? |

It is certainly not a prototype of any kind that Auto Mag produced.
The frame does not appear to have been ever marked with a serial number in the conventional manner. It has had the crap buffed out of it sometime. It might be called rare as it is somepne's "one of a kind" garage project. JMO

Bruce’s book shows there was an “XP0010”. A primer caused a blowout which damaged the frame. But it’s parts were used to create another gun. And it’s barrel was later used in yet another gun. SAP is most likely someone’s initials. I saw no reference to “EX” serial numbers. Maybe Bruce or Brian could weigh-in?

The rear sight platform is bent. It was probably a result of being dropped.
The front of the rib has broken off of the barrel. How do they know it is an AMT gun when the markings have been polished off ? My opinion is to stay far away from this piece. It has too many problems including red-flags. Bruce ps: The XP 10 gun originally had a stippled frame that was replaced using the first lined frame....FWIW ![]() I just got a notice that Californians can now receive ammunition from out-of-State dealers who have an FFL. Finaly I can buy ammo again. ![]() CHEERS |
