To Pbcaster,
I have moved your post to the pet loads section in this forum: Load data for the 357 & 44 AMP - AMT Guns forum - Page 3
Since this is interesting reloading information it will be easier to find in the future.

Thanks for the shared info!

About 18 months ago I posted some LabRadar data of SBR 240 XTP (item # SL44AM5, lot 180109) in my then new 6.5” Classic Edition, and some including myself expressed surprise at how slow it was. In fact it often failed to cycle the action.

There were bugs to be worked out, and my pistol returned to the factory where the top end was replaced to address a problem in the accelerator screw hole and threads.

Since it has returned, it has worked flawlessly except for with that original lot of SBR ammo.

So I ordered a box of the current SBR 44 240 XTP (item # SL44AM5A lot 221229), and wow what a difference. 1407 fps vs 1230. And it cycled perfectly. And I have to say that an SD of 10.01 is outstanding for factory magnum handgun ammo of any kind.

After checking out the Auto Mag Ltd's forum this morning it looks like The Auto Mag Co. better start circling the wagons.

There appears to be a major uprising brewing amongst the approximately 260 paid up customers.

It's expected, only one AMP has shipped this year.

Sure seems like they could have handled things better, even if they can't ship anything, they sure could answer the phone!!!

I can't disagree with you on that.

I had heard a while back from a knowledgeable source that the Shareholders were trying to remove Patrick from being in charge and that seems to be what is happening.

As far as the customers who have paid for their firearms, I don't understand what they are trying to do.  If they want to find out their options they need to get an Attorney in S. Carolina on their case.  Right now it sounds like they just want to harass the Shareholders which will just do more harm in my opinion.

I'd not been on that forum in a long time so all this is new to me. Reading all the comments with sadness.

Firstly I want to say it's been a long while since I've dog had a dog in this fight. I'd ordered a FE back in 9/2017 but I decided to seek a refund about 1 1/2 years later which I received promptly. The wait itself was only part of the reason but most I wanted to use the funds elsewhere and getting the gun where I live was problematic.

I did later order and receive an 8 1/2" upper which I fitted to an old lower

I want to hope that those customers affected will somehow be made whole but experience tempers that idea; I know once lawyers and the 'legal' system is involved refunds will never see the light of day....

I remember when we started out on this venture; the high hopes of new AutoMags being available again. If the New AutoMag is truly finished as a company I hope that someday someone will be able to document what happened here that we may all learn and know better next time.

This the second time I just escaped losing funds from a company who promised the moon; the first was "IMC The Company" - a Company I believe also originally in SC that promised a licensed-built beautiful 1/8 scale fully functional model of a Cat D11N bulldozer but after years of unfulfilled promises went belly up. I got a refund from them barely 2 months before their demise.

Ahhh promises, promises. Never again will I commit funds to a company that hasn't already established their production... no matter how appealing their spiel is...

Years ago, Jonathan Arthur Ciener (Ciener 22lr Conversion Kits) was arrested on fraud charges after taking customer's money and not delivering product.  The case was later dropped when it was found the customer's monies were being held in a separate account and had not been used for day to day operational expenses.  I guess that is the distinction in Florida as to being legal or not.
