Spring has sprung and everybody has gone outside or to the range and forgot to keep up on the world of Automag.

Just been super busy.  Building a target stand for me and a fried to set up on his property for some serious pistol shooting this weekend. Getting ready for the machine gun shoot in about three weeks. Picked up a 4 inch barrel 38 Colt Mark III for my wife to have. Very accurate little gun. Thats the fun stuff. Won't go into the non fun stuff....Rick

LOL Well i'm right here.  Been looking for another Auto Mag now that I have a little cash to work with.  Will be getting some pictures of my collection together soon and will post for all to see.  Just have been a little busy with building it up a little more, and with work.  Hope to get a little range time in tomorrow and shoot the IV, 45 win mag.  Well we will see if I can squeeze it in.  Later!!!!!LOL

You need to be hear and hear the SBT SEAL Team when they are running their boats. Man, all that power makes my chest rumble!!!SmileSmile

I'm here every day, don't want to miss any of your posts!
Mostly a quick look trough the bords now.
I'm busy re-decorating my house. Once you start in one room you can't skip another because the difference is to big! So I'm doing them all.

Rick,
Yes the "movie buisiness" is going OK, and is even pleasant for me to see our guncollection in action. Give me a reason to shoot them as well.........

Thanks for the compliments. Embarrassed

Stars&stripes loads me, at my request, my favorite load of 22.5 grains of H110 with a 240 gr bullet. Ya it leaves the gun dirty and doesn't burn all the powder in the barrel but I love the flame. Did I mention I love the flame. Most of what I do with my AutoMags is just plink. Steel plates, cans, and sometimes paper targets, occasional vermon. What kind of grips did yuo get?....Rick

IAN sold me an extra set of his ....

they look like these ....

http://automagpistol.pcst.co.uk/forum_posts.asp?TID=6&PN=5

about 1/2 the page down ... I found a guy @ the las vegas gun show who makes
a bandoleer holster set I might get .

I'm just going to go with stars and stripes standard 200 grn load ..
I'd prefer jacketed soft points not HP's but we'll see what he'll do ...

now if I could find someone here in San Diego to help me tear down
and redo my automag with the new springs ... :-)

If you are just replacing the recoil and firing pin springs, you can do that during regular maintenance. For more in depth disassembly, leave it to a pro. Some of the springs in that pistol are very small. Bert's primer on parts, has photos of all the parts with dimensions.

Talk to Yoshi, he is in CA.

Leaving for Las Vegas on Sunday, when I get home I hope to open MAGNUM SPRING  SEASON outdoors here in MI. I will be changing my springs before a trip to the range. See ya'll soon and keep your powder dry.
