I have designed a new #30 clip installation tool for sale if I can get enough of a response from this post to make them affordable to you. The handle is white delrin with the A over M logo and #30 INSTALL TOOL engraved in it. The pin is concaved for easy placement over the stud. They are very user friendly. Your response will tell me if I can get them made for under $30.00.

I've decided to make these tools myself on my own time. This will take a little longer but will ultimately keep the price down. With materials at my disposal I should be able to make them for about $20.00. I am going to start with 10 pieces unless I get a big response at this lower price. I'll keep you posted on the ETA.

Ok boys and girls (if there are any,,,) I'm in on this one, anyone else game?
Come one, you know you want one,,, LOL
And take it from someone who has replaced a bunch of these clips without a tool, its not fun,,,
Now if you can come up with a tool that will pick winning lotter numbers, then I might be able to afford one of them new Auto Mags! ;-)

Cool Yoshi. I guess I should have suspected you would want at least a couple. :-) I didn't receive anything from you. Sorry. Maybe we can work something out on the tools though. I've been corresponding w/ Alex @ AMC and he wants a manual and now a tool. He's willing to pay for them. However, I want to foot that bill and further develope a good repoir with him. He's already given me permission to use the original A over M logo on them. We can just trade a little on that if its OK with you. I'll let you know when the tools are ready to ship. I'll be working on them this weekend. Maybe you can just ship a manual direct to him for me, if you don't mind. Thanks again for the order. Good talkin with you again.

The #30 Clip Tools are ready to ship. I've asked Ian to post a pic. They look much better cosmetically and I've added a staging groove at the end of the pin. The price is $20.00+S/H for those who order now. I will post them on my new website ( http://www.maynardarmsco.com - www.maynardarmsco.com ) for $24.99+S/H.

I worked something out with my good friend Bruce Stark. There will be 4 #30 clips included with the tool @ no extra charge. Having the tool won't do you much good without the clips. There is also a cap to keep from losing the pin when storing the tool. I thought that would be a good idea.

I got my two tools yesterday. They are very nice. Be careful pouring out the foam peanuts, Brian has found the smallest ziploc in the world to put the included retaining rings in! Thankfully I saw it before I dumped it in the trashcan!
Great job Brian!
Thanks,
Jason

Brian,
Received mine last night. Great workmanship. It's well worth the money.
Jason,
Thanks for your warning. I would have missed that World's Smallest Ziploc without your words.

My next project, if I can get it off the ground is matching bolt barrel assemblies w/a new designed locking lug design that won't interchange with the original and a super strong steel for both. They will be 6-1/2" Vent Rib w/original type rear sights. These will be a large order to fill but will give owners the ability to shoot their pistols without damage to the original bolt/barrels. They will most likely be in .44AMP caliber. Any input on this would be greatly appreciated.

Brian,
Come On, you know you want to make a few 8.5 VR Barrel Assemblies. And maybe one or two 475 AMP Barrels. I mean, what the heck, starting from scratch.

Yes I do Jason. And I will probably do so depending on the response. Most of the project will be concetrated on getting the new bolt design implemented and it would be easier and less expensive to offer the first batch in 6-1/2" VR in .44AMP. I will first make a couple proto types to test the new concept. Once proven, implementing various barrel lengths and calibers will be the easy part.

I got mine!!!
And they are sooooo COOL!
Brian I I could be so modest (NOT) as to suggest another project in this class, how about remaking a version of the mag loading tool???
Obviously there a few different ways to build a loading tool and I for one dont have preference as to how it works, but the original Jurras model is a good basic and effective version.
Well just a thought,,,
Either way, I love the clip tool, EVERYONE NEEDS one or 2, or SEVERAL like me!!!
MANY THANKS, you NEVER disappoint!!!

I haven't gone away. Just had a skiing accident and pulled my right shoulder out of joint. Been taking lots of drugs for the pain. Your tools will be on the way shortly. They are packaged up and ready to go. its hard to drive to the PO when you're all drugged up. :-) Sorry for the delay..

Are you making these clips and if so, how much are these?

85lc, Brian makes the clip installation tool to install the #30 retaining ring. He was including a few rings with the tool. I also sell the rings as well, see my add elsewhere, it might be a couple pages back, I have retaining rings, safety plate spacers, and hammer c-clips. So if you need a tool, contact Brian. If you don't have a tool, I suggest you start there. The clips are hard to install without a tool.
