Just wanted to see if this site is still active.
I keep getting a notice that I no longer have permission to enter the site.

All things looks fine to me, you could post this message and I can read and respond to it.

I usually get in by using:  http://WWW.amtguns.info" rel="nofollow - WWW.amtguns.info
But now when I use that link I get:
Server Error

403 - Forbidden: Access is denied.

You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied.

I can get in if I use AMT Firearms Information Forum.

Bruce

Hi Bruce,
I have no idea why you get that message, must be a Californian thing...Dead

Nah serious, I can get in with even the WWW link you post above so I guess it must be some settings on your computer blocking it?
I can even login from my 20 year old computer without problems.

I suggest you should delete all "cookies" from your webbrouwser and try again to login. That might help.

I can say that there is a problem and not isolated to Bruce or cali. On Nov 10th ranger jim posted asking if the amt page had been shut down. I had a open tab on my phone from the amt page that i was
going to get back to and it changed to an error code. After I seen rangers post I checked it out and same for me from phone and computer. It is only the amt page, haven't had any problems with the forum other than it has been crickets on here lately but i guess it is normal for it to come in spurts on here.

Has anyone heard from Ian? Seems we are still getting the error 303.

Even typing http://www.amtguns.info" rel="nofollow - www.amtguns.info into a new browser tab, brings you right to the forum. My bookmark for the same site gets me the error 303. It has to be the new internet censorship in the EU. Ian, or someone, talked about trying to get it hosted over here in the US, not overseas. But obviously that option hasn’t been exercised. Too bad. It was a great source for printed info on our favorite pistol. I’m glad I downloaded a lot of it before we lost access. But as I have acquired copies of a lot of the magazines he had listed, I deleted the downloads.

Jim, it’s possible your bookmark needs to be updated. The forum is working fine (as evidenced by your post immediately above). I suggest deleting your old bookmark and creating a new one? 🤷‍♂️

Sorry, I meant the bookmark for Ian’s site (amtguns.net). Still getting an error there.

A 403 error is an HTTP status code that means "forbidden" or "access denied." It occurs when a server understands the request but refuses to authorize it because the user doesn't have the necessary permissions to view the requested page or resource. This can be caused by issues like a user being blacklisted, wrong file permissions on the server, or a misconfigured firewall, rather than the page not existing (which is a 404 error). ”

That’s from Google. Ian says it’s a server glitch. He’s out of town without access until Wednesday but will get it sorted then.

Sounds promising. Always had access before, don’t understand the whole “permission” thing. Wonder if I’m on a no fly list too? LoL.

Ian's AMT gun info web page seems to be down again. Having troubles or shut down due to UK law??
