Just picked up an AMII.  Took it to the range and it shot flawlessly.    Tried 3 types of ammo.  I do have a few questions.

Spent cases seem to have 2 sets of dimples around them at 2 different heights.  When I inspected the chamber there are holes drilled around the chamber when you look into the chamber.  Al's it appears like the barrel was not one piece.  As if the barrel was welded to the chamber ten smoothed and sand blasted.  Not sure if this was how they were manufactured or if I should be looking for a barrel.

2nd when I disassembled the gun for cleaning the ejector #30 in the figs just drops out.  Watching vids of the disassembly te ejector seems to stay in place.

Lastly the hammer is not stainless it looks like a heat treated part sith a reddish brown color.  Upon looking at numrich the hammer appears stainless in the pictures.

Thanks in advance for any input.

Should add that I now wish I bought one of these a while ago.  I really enjoyed it.

You have a perfect working pistol, nothing to worry about.

All barrels are made with the holes in the chamber, this is part of the function of the pistol.
The ejector is indeed just sitting in it's slot in the frame. When assembled it can't move or get out of its place.
The one thing you should be carefull with is when you field strip the pistol, never drop the hammer without the slide off the frame. If you do, the hammerstrut will bent.
To drop the hammer let it go slowly foreward while back it up with your thumb.

The collor shades are most likely from the hardening process.

Thanks Luc V.

About what I expected but not being very familiar with the II  these things stood out as odd.  I wanted to make sure there was not something that needed attention.   Ran about 50 rounds yesterday as a function test without a problem.

Thank you for the response.

What brand of ammunition did you test the pistol with?
I had always good results with the federal FMJ in mine, but my supply is almost gone and can't get that brand no more overhere. I'm looking for something new...

I had bought a box of CCI, jacketed hollow then found a note not to use that brand, looked to be an original note that came with the box and paperwork.  I had a box of winchester which was semi jacketed and a box of FMJ Fiocchi.  I'm probably going to get more of the Fiocchi as it's inexpensive and FMJ.  All 3 ammos ran well and the accuracy was consistent across all 3 brands bit I was only shooting @ 7 yards.  My intent on this tange trip was solely to find out if I had purchased a functional firearm.
