William, I have a question???? I have a Barrel with the Jurras Lion's Head on it!!!!!!! I think it would be awesome if you could do a set of grips, but instead of the AM Logo, Could you put the Jurras Lion's Head in it?????

Believe it or not I have thought about that because I have one also ,and that being I contacted Mr. Jurras about using the lions head in some grips . BUT Iam SORRY I can not do so, he said he did not want anyone using his logo on there products because it would De-Value his products. Personally I do not see a nice set of grips de-valuing his stuff BUT its his logo and must honor and respect his answer. Also here is the grips above on the the gun .

I don't see how it would De-Value anything. If anything it would increase the value as it would have a custom set of grips with the Lion's Head!! I don't see what the problem would be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

USRGUNS, the Lion Head logo is a copyrite I use on my Personal work. Its beyond the pale to ask to use anothers copyright To my way of thinking, what if it was your work somebody wanted to take credit for. If you can't understand , nothing I would say would change your mind.

Mr. Jurras I suggest you get over yourself, and climb down off that high horse your on. You might have been something in the past, but now your are nothing but a self centered rear end of that high horse your on!!! Nuf said!!!!!!!!!! And pretty sure any patent/copyright you had on the logo ran out years ago!!!!!!!!! "QUOTE" the Lion Head logo is a copyrite I use on my Personal work If I remember correctly you put it on another company's gun not yours!!!!!

What ever happened to Super Vel Hummmmmmm. However, the rapid growth of the company and its reliance on outsourcing of cartridge cases left it vulnerable, and it was overtaken by competitors and closed its doors in 1974. Believe it went out of business!!!! That was 40 years ago????? So I guess we will let your record speak for itself!!!!!

We had a signed contract with the AMRON Corp to make and deliver up to 60 million cartridge cases per year. They were under contract with Browning to make them a line off ammo, remember that. Amron had built 20 MM cartridge casesc for the Navy for 2o years spent the better part of a year working with them. From signing the contract to their demise we received a grand total of 12K rounds, also defalted on Browning contract, closed AMRON after an investment of 4 years and 6 million, dollars. its a tough racket.

Yes at Suoer Vel we made and sold 300,000,000 cartridges. Were the largest single user of CCI primers for 10 years. After Suoer Vel I organized what was to become the IHMSA. Ran the first match, helped organize the second. Then traveled the country, helping to organized the various sectionals and demonstrating in public what the matches were. assisted on rule making etc. Then set up and ran for 5 years the OAHA, and to make in into a larger organization formed a Foundation which has a Handgunner Hall of fame at NRA headquarters in Wash DC. After that got back into rifles. Ultra LR Big Game ,Varmint, and F class..from 264 Win Mag up thru 338/378. Prior to the ifles built a limited edition Howdah, pistol based on the T/C action with cartridges running from, 375,416,460,475,and 500 caliber based on the 500 NE case cut to 13/4". That kept me pretty busy until I was diagnosed with Cancer 2.5 years ago. That has cut into my firearms activities, I will admit. Don't claim to be a JMB but I'vd my share of fun and made what In feel were significant advancements to the firearms industry. Just my personal bragging rights. FWIW , That and $2 bucks will get me a cup of Java most places. No high horse here just trying to whip the Cancer so I can get back in the saddle.I believe I am on the heal. Cheers, Lawman. Also found time to be a reserve officer in 3 towns in two States.

I have to say I am mainly a collector now, but I got into AMP's, Colt 1911's, and Smith revolvers from the shooting side.
When I think about the early days of AMP's, I do not think Sanford and Grossman, I think of Jurras and Lomont as the guys I looked up to.
Win the fight Mr. Jurras!

Thanks Beemer. I have mentioned my mentors in numerous magazine articles and in pubic appearances. Everyone including JMB as has assistance somewhere along the way. No man is an Island, The nearest we have like that today was Wm B. Ruger, and my luck to have spent time with him.

William you really need to stop this!!!!!! I see another pair I like!!! The Gray One's And I see what you mean with mine!! Look Awesome. I thought they would!!!!!!!! And Lee if you think a set with your Logo on them would de-value the price of any gun, then there is definitely something wrong with your reasoning!!!! Because all these grips would do nothing but add to the value of any gun

My personal logo represents my personal work. Any work done by me uses my logo. To let everyone or anyone else use my logo would be meaningless. That should be simple enough to understand. A piece of paper glued to a stock, decal or otherwise looks cheap. No disrespect to anyone.

So let me get this right!! When you put your Logo on someone else's gun, you were not taking credit for the gun just the modifications. So they should not be called a Jurras Gun, but an Auto Mag with modifications done by Jurras. Just trying to get this right.

Yes, that's usually what they call it. Certain re-designs are called Jurras's guns by others. Just like the copyrighted guns AM, say Auto Mag and not Gera designed guns. Its all in the name and logo. This is senselss bantering usrguns. Your knowledge of Ordnance history and collecing items in the ordnance related field needs improving. I rest my case

I wasn't going to reply to this trend again but since its had so many hits I thought I would let everyone know why. Lee I have answered this question once when I ask you about it doing it but I guess you could not see past the ideal that I was trying to INFRINGE on your work to see the rest of my question, I wanted to use it because a while back I bought a Auto Mag that has one of your ported barrels on it with the logo I just thought it would look neat to have the logo in the grips to match the logo on the barrel thats all I was not trying to take credit for your work. But thats ok if you dont want me to use it I want and besides that I have new plans for the barrel now which dose not include the jurras logo sorry.
