Bruce. I assume your 8mm Gera is on a standard AM frame? How long is the barrel? Truly unique and no doubt rare Auto Mag. Congratulations on owning it.

Another question. The 8mm looks like it has German Luger artillery sights? And does the knob on the cocking piece serve a purpose?

Max used Douglas Premium barrel stock that was sold in a 24-inch length. Max made the Carbine with a 16 5-inch barrel and had a 7.5-inch piece left over. It is 7.5 inches long. The cocking piece, charging handle, is made to look like a Lugar's and it is much easier to use than the Auto mags. I had Max make two. The other one is on the carbine. The rear sight platform came from a Fluss-Stahl. Krupp-Essen Model W625, .22 trainer rifle barrel. The rear peep site came from a French "MAS" Model 45, .22 trainer rifle. It marked out to 150 meters. It was originally a peep site but I modified it to the Mauser "V" style. Bruce |

I think there is a AM carbine wire stock on Gunbroker or eBay. Can’t remember which. With IL laws I don’t think I can make that purchase. Even though SBRs and silencers are no longer regulated by the Feds.

Bruce, when you get your Bianchi #16 holster it might fit the 8mm. That extra inch of barrel might make it cramped. But you never know. You could always look for a #16 for a large S&W revolver. Since the flap is shaped differently, it might work!!
