My dinner with Ian….

Many of you may not realize that Ian Ballard, the saint who runs this forum out of his own pocket (notice the lack of annoying ads?) actually resides in England, where owning any sort of handgun is virtually impossible. So it takes a special sort of fortitude and dedication to do so, and he has it in spades. 

I’ve started regularly flying to London, and I asked if perhaps we might get together for dinner. As luck would have it, my hotel is only a short walk from his office. However, he never goes to his office as he lives two and a half hours away. 

Nevertheless, he kindly agreed to make the trek into the city and we enjoyed a wonderful cheap-and-cheerful dinner together, talking all things AMT but also about a variety of different (frequently related) topics. 

Ian is rather like the Wizard of Oz, running this whole thing from behind a curtain, as nobody as ever seen him. So behold a selfie of a goofy-looking me enjoying the company of this simply fantastic fellow. 

We should all be weeping with joy that he is willing to put forth his efforts on our collective behalf!
