Turning into a yearly affair. Three days of about 80 of us (men, some women and some kids) shooting steel down in a hollor in Arkansas. Lots of shooting, eating, swapping BS, trading and buy & selling. Mr. Jurras I met a first timer all the way from upper Michagan. Al Anderson. He knows you, John & Dustin Linebaugh and Kent Lomont all quite well. Al said he lives for shooting. Reloads and shoots about 100,000 rounds a year. He wanted to shoot my AutoMag. Ater shooting the AMP he said thats it. Always thought I wanted one but never shot one. Now I have to have one. Al was with his wife and daughter. Heck of a nice fellow. Said to say Hi.....Rick

Was the man from Up North Michigan or from the Upper Michigan? Up North you are still in the Mitten, if he ws a Yupper then he is from above the Mackinaw bridge where they call all us who live south of the bridge Trolls. A different world in the UP as we call it. Miles of nothing with wolves, black bear and mountain lions in the woods. Right now there is about 3 feet of snow on the ground.
A hearty bunch up there for sure! Pass the Molsons, a pastie, and I will meet you in the Sauna.

I'd say Al is one to ride the river with. Supposed to build a rifle for him if and when I get set up. He also has had some health problems. If and when I get back to snuff I'll get it built along with some 20 or so others I've promised..Sold my personal 300 Win Mag to Bert so have to build me another first. Speaking of Bert, what is he up to? His website has not been updated in months. No new primers and no word on THE BOOK.

Mr Jurras, he had a neck operation recently and is not up to full speed yet. He did enjoy the AutoMag and hit the 50 yard 10 inch diameter plate seven out of seven and never shot the gun before.
So either he is an excellent shot or the gun is an excellent shooter or I suck?
Gerry I do recall the term u p mentioned. Side note. His wife was wearing a coat with a fur hood and I ask her why her being from upper Michigan and all. She said it was -10 the day before they left for Arkansas and she was comfortable in a sweat shirt outside. But down here although it was only in the lower 40's it was a damp cold and that made the difference.

Rick, he was injured on the job and has had quite a bit of medical work, I think one of the surgeries was not to standards and complicated things. He's had a rough go the past couple years. But not a complainer..
