I know that I am fairly new to this site and there are those on here that are THE experts. I have a question... This site was set up by Ian (thanks Ian!) as an "AMT Guns Forum". The majority of the postings and conversations refer to the Auto Mags.
Being this is an "AMT Guns Forum" wouldn't this include all of them from the 22 SA/DA, Back-ups, II's, III's, IV's, V's, and all flavors in between...?
I have searched for parts for some of my other AMT's. Did I find the "best" places and the "best" prices? Probably not. Example, I have heard of people referring to Bruce's grips. Even if I wanted a set I wouldn't know where to check prices or purchase.
Is it possible to start a thread with website(s) that sell, make, offer various AMT parts, pieces and services? Would this be a bad idea?
Thank you, John

It would be a VERY short list.
The number of places to get Auto Mag parts/accessories can be counted on one hand, and anything else that was made by AMT is a total crapshoot, GPC and maybe one or two other places, but thats probably its.
With the exception of the Lightning Pistol and the 1911 clones, AMT guns are unique and not popular in the aftermarket so there are not a lot of "replacement" parts, so you won't find a long list of offerings.
Hopefully someone will chime in and point you toward sorces for non Auto Mag AMT parts.

Well yes and no.... Ian set this site to replace the original Auto Mag forum and contains all the old archives from it. dont let the name AMT FORUM fool you, as the sub catagory is: Auto Mag Pistol. Most of the discussion here is about this pistol but does include AMT made guns...we are seeing a lot more discussion of non-Auto Mag AMTs lately. perhaps Ian will chime in and take a suggestion for another sub catagory to the board? |

I understand, and have found out, that there are very few places that have parts, pieces, information, etc. I’m just wondering if anyone else on here has others that they’ve run across and wouldn’t mind sharing. Thank you for the link @ Numrich. GPC? What is that one? I have bookmarks for: http://www.glossover.co.uk/amt/ http://vintagegungrips.net/aumagpigr.html http://maynardarmsco.net/index.shtml |
