How rare are these?   i've got one of these, the long slender barrel w/o vent rib, TDE Model 160 marked, and a buddy wants the gun.   I don't mind selling it to him or even at a bit of a bargain but i don't want to give it away.  completely original - i.e. no magnaporting or anything - but the rear sight is stainless instead of blued.

Is this a complete gun with a TDE 8.5" plain barrel?

Many of the rear sights are stainless.

I'd look at the recent gunbroker sales.  They bring pretty good money.

I don't think the 357 Brings more than the 44 really.

Do you have 357 AMP reloading dies to go with it?

yes complete gun.   i buy and sell on gunbroker and gunsinternational all the time.  the only 357 to have sold in searchable history was recently and i watched it.  it was the shorter vented barrel and sold for something in the mid 2's.

my impression is 357's are much, much rarer than 44's but not many people want them.

yes, rcbs dies.  i've shot it maybe 3 dozen times, brass formed from starline 44amp.

I would think around 1800 to 2200 for a buddy deal and still feel good about it. Depends on how much ammo goes with it.

FWIW back in 2018 when I bought my TDE 44 Auto Mag, from the same seller I bought an 8.5-inch TDE 357 Auto Mag barrel for $1576. I paid $3000 for a complete High Standard 357 Auto Mag with vented 6.5 inch barrel in 2019. Both were on Gunbroker and the market (in the form of competing bidders) set the selling price.

The complete gun included a set of RCBS loading dies and a Safariland 103 holster, along with two extra Triple K magazines, which together were probably worth $400 or so?  That would suggest the complete gun by itself was a $2600 proposition at the time.
