Just for comparison's sake, a Founders Edition versus a TDE:  It's funny - I used to think the 8.5" barrel looked weird, but now that I have one it looks like the right proportions and the 6.5" looks almost like a snub-nose

To me, the 8.5 inch barrel always looked better on the pistol.
