I’m looking for the special recoil spring plug for a Long Slide. It’s made with a shoulder inside so standard 5” 1911 recoil springs can be used. If anyone has one or knows where one can be found I would appreciate knowing.

Other option that might work is to use the recoilplug you have and insert a bushing (sleeve) of the correct length.

Thanks...a good idea but I don't have the original recoil plug...I used it in a different long slide build. I need one for a new build. I can buy a recoil plug from Fusion Firearms made for the purpose but it requires using one of their full length recoil guides...just something I'm not fond of...an answer in search of question. I'll go that direction if necessary...just trying to use up parts I already have and the correct recoil plug will allow that.

I just picked up a Automag IV and it's missing the recoil rod, spring and plug. Any idea where I might get the dimensions of those parts? I have a full CNC machine shop so making them isn't a problem but I need dimensions. Thanks

Fusion firearms offers a 7" longslide. Maybe they have the parts? Quick/cheap purchase and reverse engineer?
