   Received my prototype bullets yesterday. These are 180gr. JSP. These are the bullets using the 6% antimony/2% tin mixed lead. They are loaded using the Lee Jurras tables using CCI 350 primers and H-110 30gr. powder.

I have the same 3 type designed bullets in 200gr. as well. Loaded with CCI 350 primers and 30gr. of 296.

I backed off from full load due to the length barrel of my Carbine. Still, should get at least 1890fps with the 180 gr. bullets and at least 1747fps with the 200gr. bullets.

Can't wait to test them.

	Hey Conny, Just some info on the loads you want to make. I just ran your data trough QuickLoad ballistic program, and got the following results: With your 180 grains bullet, a pressure of 41.198 Psi. Powder: H110 /30 Grs. V° with the 16 inch barrel = 2144 fps. Case volume filled up = 108 %. (depending on the seating depth of the bullet) With your 200 grainer, a pressure of 63.490 Psi (red hot) Powder: Win296 / 30 Grs V° with 16 inch barrel = 2265 Fps. Case volume filled up = 121 % Did you realy got that pile of powder into the case ??? Take the info as you like, I'm just trying to help.

	Luc, Thanks for the information. I think the 180gr ones are ok. WOW!!! I'll change the 200gr ones. They are in line for loading now. I didn't think they would be so darn hot. I'll definitely lower the powder. I'm trying to get about 1900-2000fps from the 180gr. and 1800-1900fps from the 200gr. I appreciate any and all help rendered.

	Conny, My quickLoad program say it only need 27 grains of Win 296 to push a 200 grains bullet at 2001 fps with the 16 inch barrel. Pressure is 39.858 psi, and case volume is 109 % full. For the 180 grainer, the program calculate 29 grains of H110 at 2064 fps (16 inch barrel) Pressure is ( just ) 36.141 Psi. Case is 105 % full. Take note that this is not the exact data for the Bullet you have, I would need all the correct measurements to put into the ballistic system. I took the Hornady HP XTP bullets as reference. Just my 2 cts, I would choose the H110 as it gives much lower pressures over the Win296.

	Thanks Luc, Even if the bullet data is slightly off, with the pressures you've posted, it won't be a red hot round to cause problems. What I do know about the bullets is: weight is +/- .0? and diameter is .429". I forgot the percentage variance but emailed the bullet maker for the answer. The length depends on the type bullet. Just looking for 1 good 180gr type and 1 good 200gr type bullet for hunting. I value your 2 cts. for keeping me from blowing my head off or breaking a part in my pistol.

	The varation in weight is not the biggest issue, it is very important to know the length of the exact bullets. It realy makes a big difference in pressure if you push a bullet deeper into the case! So to give the correct data into the system I would need the length of the bullets, and the total length of the cartridge you have made. I assume you also use a Starline case, so the exact volume (weight of a case full of water) which I have already into the data. Just some more info from the data I played with: the 16 inch barrel gives you roughly a 400 fps more speed as the same load in a 6 1/² barrel.
