Some time ago Beemer1 and I were talking about headspace for the 44AMP cartridge.
Included a link to a file I wrote on how I checked the headspace for MY pistol and cartridges. Might be of some help to understand what headspace is all about, to much headspace and the case will "slam" against your bolt, to little and the bolt will not close all the way. Yeah, and when you're not checking headspace, perhaps you can do some freelance proctology.
