Custom Bullet Maker Wanted

   Looking for a CUSTOM bullet maker for .44 & .357 bullets. I have tried over 30 bullet makers who I found out are no longer available. The two that are cannot load what I want. Are there any bullet makers left? Know any? Leave a name and number so I can contact them.

OK, found a bullet maker for .44 caliber and hope to have "special" bullets for hunting. He's going to make 8 test samples. If these perform the way I want, I'll order a couple hundred more for reloading.

Still looking for .357 bullet maker.

	There are literally hundreds of custom bullet makers maybe in the thousands. You can buy custom dies for bullet making for little more than some loading dies. Obvisouly you have not been long around the firearms field. Any number of books have listings. The internet should have hundreds. Cheers

	Mister, get off your high horse. You don't know me, my civilian experiences, shooting ability, military background or knowledge of firearms. I've been into and have owned firearms for 44 years. I used to reload .357 Herrett 30 years ago. However, I have not made my own bullets. That is a different field in itself. Also, I am using antimony lead. There are not very many bullet makers that will touch that type lead. I've called dozens from a list of bullet makers from the internet and most don't have the equipment for that hard of lead. Out of the hundreds on the internet list, 50% are no longer in business, 40% do not make them in .44 cal. or .357cal., 9% will not use antimony and out of those hundreds, ONE will make .44cal. with antimony lead. I called them all and have the phone bill to prove it. You see, I did my research long before I asked if anyone on this board new a bullet maker that not only makes .44cal and .357 cal but, will use antimony lead. Be that as it may, I found a bullet maker that makes excellent 220gr SJSP Have a good day sir.

	As a home caster I'm thinking you ought to take the plunge yourself. It sounds like you already have some knowledge of the process. You said hundreds, not hundreds of thousands, and I can't imagine that getting customs ones made is inexpensive. Just throwing this out there since I find enjoyment in doing it.

	The company I found is, "Diamondback Custom Bullet Fabricators". The bullets look like the one posted but are 220gr. and no cannelure'. They are 25 cents each. I bought a roll of antimony lead which I supplied 15" to keep cost down. I have a custom loader in Florida who loads to my specs. I'm to old to be messing around making bullets. Got grand kids I'd rather spend my time enjoying. uploads/235/568069.jpg

	No high horse here Conny, you are right I don't know you. Had you stated custom cast bullets rather than custom bullets it would have thrown a completely different light on the subject. When I used high antimonty content in my jacketed bullets I just stated what content in my wire, I used from pure to as high as 5% in my jacketed 44's. Now you want cast, I'm sure you could find an individual caster who could be talked into casting with your wire. But I don't believe you will find a custom bullet maker who calls himself a custom caster. Any number of casters will probably heat treat to your specs for hardness, a high antimony content will just get you a brittle bullet. What is it that you are looking for. You can buy cast bullets for everything from mice to moose. If you are trying to experiment then you need to get with the program and buy the equipment you need. Otherwise be prepared to pay the piper. 44 years huh ???? Your Military background huh, When I was in the Corps, back in the early 50's I found I was years ahead of what the military was using and or doing. I have done tremendous R & D for the various governmental agencies both civilian and military.I Made the first subsonic 9mm ammo.I for the Seals 40 yeas ago. No I don't know it all but I feel I probably forgot more than yourself. If you have a specific need state it rather than ask for something less wide ranging, and maybe someone can assist you. I for one have always benefited from his advice and, knowing who he is, been honored that he shares it with us. I was in high-school when he was dropping Antelope at 217 yards with the Auto Mag. 	Got to agree with Mark but add one thing.... If Lee weren't so grumpy he wouldn't be as much fun to poke at every so often!! Hey, even though Lee probably took his first meal with an Auto Mag while I was still crapping myself, I was Navy. Have to keep that good-fun, inter-service rivalry on! Thanks Lee - you rock!

	Conny, I'll ask again, what are you looking for in this 44 Bullet, what game, what gun, I'll share some info while using a 180 gr. 44 bullet w/a .040" thick jacket of 95/5 guilding metal with a 5% antimony core At 1800 plus and 1900 plus. Also 2200 fps from a Ruger carbine. Cheers I have 7 Gr Grandkids.

	I'm a commercial caster that uses 6% antimony and 2% tin. The brinnell hardness is a conservatine 16-18. My 44 molds run from 160 gr to 250. My 357 molds run from 90 gr to 160. www.mastercraftbullets.com Due to the loss of my webmaster, my prices are not up to date.
