Can anyone provide more information on the amount of the AMT 400 Corbon Accelerator made, I have see one post on this form suggesting that only 14 were made and one other source saying possibly 16 made. Anything info would be appreciated.

I wish I knew the answer to that as well. Also would love to own one someday. The only info I have to offer is that I have only seen one sell. Sold on gunbroker for $5025.00. Also came across where one had sold through rock island auction company in July 2020 for a very reasonably price of $1725. So value wise, they are worth what someone is willing to pay the day one sales.

That’s what makes me wonder, why is one selling for 1700 one 5k and another over 8k. Could the 8k be the first one off the line. The first 45 hardballer longslide just sold this month for at least 10k, wasn’t on gunbroker for very long at all. I have an accelerator, never thought much about it other than it was just a hardballer clone in a cool round. I was aware of how hard the backup400corbon is to find. Just recently I was considering getting an extra pair of grips off eBay and did a little AMT searching on the internet as I do from time to time and came across some info about only a dozen or so accelerator’s were made. Just wondering my such a price increase from one to another without a lot of source material. I know about the one selling for 1700.

Well that 1st made 45 hardballer longside was listed starting bid for 11k then relisted at 10k but it never had any bids on it. You can ask any amount that you want but doesn't mean that anyone will pay it. It's like the 380 backup. They are a $300 gun all day but most of them barely bring $200 on broker because you got to add in tax, shipping and transfer fees. However people will list them for $650. They never sell. I have snagged one up for buy now $125 before in decent condition.

That’s my fault for assuming that the hardballer sold, I got back on a few days later and it was gone. Now as far as comparing a 380 backup to a longslide you’ve lost me a little, yes I understand bought price vs asking price but I’m pretty sure a backup 380 is the most common variant it has no place in this conversation, respectfully.

Run it up, until you blow it up, then back it down a bit.

It was just a reference to you can list something for 3 times what it is worth, more than likely if never sells. However there is always that chance that someone will pay it. AMT was known for having some unique serial numbers but the 400 corbons seemed to just be slapped onto hardballer frames with regular serials. I recently watched a 30 carbine automag 3 sell on gunauction for $940. A week later the buyer had it listed on gun broker on a penny auction, it ended up selling for $3,325. The guy more than tripled his money. What made the gun worth 3 times as much 2 weeks later? That is just the nature of auctions.

I have noticed the carbines have become a popular item, who ever sold it for 900$ must of needed the money and couldn’t wait and relist it. Definitely his loss. I feel like I would avoid auctions and aim to private sell. All my AMT’s are at my brother put up besides my backup, I need to upload some pictures on here to share with my fellow Arcadians.

Gunauction just never gained the following that gun broker has. It was listed as starting bid $900 or buy now for $1500. Had original box and papers just no insert in the box to hold the gun in place. I just happened to come across it with only a few hours left and no bids. I had been off work from surgery so I really didn't have the money to burn and already have one. The other guy ended up bidding toward the end. I bid 935 on it and took the lead but he bid again so I walked away and let him have it thinking that I was letting a fellow AMT guy get a bargain. If I had know he was just buying it to turn a profit, I would of pushed it up more.

Just left the local pawnshop and surprisingly they had a covina hardballer longslide with a very unattractive pair of knock off grips. They wanted 2200$ for it.
