Here’s the 4th holster I made for my Auto Mag.
![]() It’s a tight fit. Wish I had cut it an 1/8” or so bigger all around the edge. Will work on a belt for this rig next. Here’s the others I’ve made. ![]() ![]() ![]() All were made from scratch based on photos of originals.

Another homemade holster from photos of originals on the web. A copy of a Bianchi #16. The original #16 was for a large S&W revolver. Subsequently, I just saw a #16 on eBay specifically stamped for the Auto Mag. The full flap shapes are a bit different. I hand carved and painted the AM emblem on mine and have stamped all my hand made “copies” with “44 AMP” so I don’t get nailed for copyright infringement.
Original #16 from the web. ![]() The belt loop on original. ![]() Now the #16 for the Auto Mag. On ebay. It sold for around $180. Hope it went to one of my fellow forum members. Note the flap is a lot flatter on the AM #16. I think there is also a black #16 AM holster on eBay as well. ![]() ![]() And now for my version of the #16. I am not taking orders at this time, LoL. Just something I do as a personal hobby. Still working on the lands and grooves. The brown dye bled through the white. So 6 foot rule. If it still bothers you take another step back! ![]() ![]() ![]() I would consider sending copies of my patterns for personal use if any one is interested in doing their own leatherwork. Check out the other holsters I have posted on the forum. Hope you enjoy…Jim

Hi Jim.....Bruce Stark here.
You got your wish ! I bought the brown #16 you show that was on EBay. Now, if it is not delivered, or stolen, like some other recent purchases, I won't get it. The Bianchi #16 is my favorite AM holster. I already have the black one and another black one that is 100% basket-weaved. Wish me luck.....Bruce Here are the Bianchi holsters i have now. ![]() |

Very cool originals. I really enjoy my leather hobby. From concept drawing to pattern to construction and finishing. Not as complicated as your wiring/animatronic diagrams in your old line of work, but satisfying just the same.
I just picked up this TRT full size Auto Mag toy. Might store it in the holster I just made—I don’t have any more wooden boxes!

Bruce, do you have any info on this TRT toy company? When were these made? I have seen the box art and it is evidently a pellet pistol, possible the standard .177.

Hey Ranger,
No, this company is new to me. It has a good look to it and it is a North Hollywood marked gun. I'll keep my eye out for one. You are building an eclectic collection of AM toys. Here in Calif., a toy gun has to have on orange muzzle to be saleable. Keep up the good work with your leather hobby. I may have a holster made for my 8mm AM pistol. |

Another hobby. Model building and scratch building kits. The Jeep in the background is a 1/6th scale (g.i.Joe sized) WWII Jeep. One of the historical impressions I do for the Illinois State Military Museum is a mobilized IL National Guard unit. The 106th Cavalry Group. They landed about D+30 and scouted ahead of the push across Europe. Ended the war in the Salzburg area where they actually liberated the Royal Family of Belgium!
The vehicle is configured as a mortar carrier. They would scout until contact was made and they used the 60mm mortar to extract themselves if they had heavy contact. I have several 1/6th scale vehicles marked for this unit: M8 Scout Car, M5 Stuart tank, a pre war M3 White Scout Car, and a heavily modified M5 tank I converted to an M8 Motor Gun Carriage. I would attach photos but they are “stored” in the detached garage and it is only 20 degrees out right now. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I have a photo of a museum display I did on my phone. Trying to get it emailed to myself so I can upload it.
