I got one of Brian's new part #30 tools. It is well made and has a surprise. At the rear of the tool there is a cap that unscrews. Under the screw there is room for several retaining rings. I have taken one of these tools to gun shows and made a little money with it. There always seems to be a seller with an Auto Mag that is missing the retaining ring that is holding the safety-leaver together. You can offer to put a ring back on for maybe $15. A safety-plate spacer may be needed if it has become lost.
Thankyou Brian, job well done. Bruceps How about making some Automag IV barrels in different calibers like William used to do ?

No, it doesn't. I don't think it could be used to clean the cat-box either.

Thank you for the nice review Bruce. I should have told you that 2 free Retaining Rings (part #30) are included with the tool. They're in the compartment (room) you spoke about. I sure hope you didn't lose them when you removed the cap. If so, I will replace them for you. And I'll note this on orders moving forward, on the instruction sheet. I'm glad you like the tool.

Brian, received your retaining ring tool and other spare parts a week or more ago. Finally got around to installing the #30 retaining ring. WHAT A SWEET TOOL, MAN. After it clicked the first time, I lifted it from the pin and realized the ring had just snapped into the end of the tool. So I put it back on the pin and applied slightly more pressure and it slipped on like butter. Also had no trouble with the #49 “C” ring. Took your suggestion and got spare recoil springs from Wolff. I feel a lot better about making this a “shooter” with a few spare parts in my kit. Thanks again for what you do for this group!

So glad to hear you like the tool Jim. The staging ring on the end of the pin is to keep the Clip from falling off the end while aligning it to the pin on the gun. Something that kept happening to me. So it was a personal addition.
