Guys,

The fellow in this video has a barrel bushing wrench made especially for the Automag III (and Automag II I assume?)

Start watching at about 7:50.

He never says where that tool came from, and Google doesn’t know. Does anybody here have any leads?

A bazillion years ago I happened into a lot of fairly rare stuff.  By rare, I mean stuff I've never seen.

Guess what one of the items was?  Yup!

As soon I get more proficient on my machine, and can program it properly, this is one of the items I was going to make and offer.

If you were happy and you knew it, would you clap your hands?

…and I in turn will seek to modify the design of my 357/44 Auto Mag magazine loaders, and make a similar model for the Automag III.  Look for those early next year….

I feel like i have seen maybe a couple of them that went with a gun that sold online. Here is a couple that came with the 2nd 30 carbine that i picked up a while back. The one is clearly a homemade but i am not sure on the other one.

Now, this bizarre.  Someone posted a link previously, and the person had a pink(?) one.  I was watching YouTube videos regarding the AMT-III two days ago, and someone had a pink(?) wrench in one of the videos.

I've never seen another wrench like this, and now I've seen a pink(?) wrench twice in a matter of a couple months.  Same person?  Who knows.

Looking at this wrench closer, this one appears to have a smaller hole just below the large hole.  My original does not have that hole.

If you were happy and you knew it, would you clap your hands?

Yeah, when you compare they are for sure different. All I can go off of is the picture but to me the purple/pink one looks like it was machined from aluminum and anodized. Maybe a machinist was turning them out and selling them at on time. Bit of a strange color choice.

Have you yet "become more proficient with your machine" yet?

I think making up some of these is a really good idea and would sell.  I have a metal one I made but it still requires fiddling with the plunger and I have only two hands.. This one addresses that shortcoming.  GO FOR IT!

Thanks for the encouragement.

I have the preliminary done.  Prototyping was excellent.  Having a slight "issue" with etching/engraving, but that should be cleared up in a week or so.
