I did not think you could find an uglier gun than a production Wildey, but you did Luc.
Thanks

That is a really ODD looking thing for sure. I wonder if that model had the gas system in it and if so how did it work, hmm.
There are some really odd stuff in this world of firearms, it always keeps me interested. Some really rare/odd models that I'm playing with is the "Medusa", "Mateba", "Kimball", "LeMat" and the "Wibley Auto Pistol(not revolver)"

I think he sells himself short. Although, it is sometimes hard to keep him on one train of thought. In fact, I may have misunderstood him or he Ken about issues w/ the .357amp gun. It may have been an ammo or parts availability issue, not function. I know Wil didn't always pay his suppliers in a timely manner(kinda like Harry). |

Jim does get to wandering when he's on the phone. I certainly was not trying to belittle him.
I bought a 45 Wildey Mag Pin Gun barrel on ebay with a crack in the barrel extension where the locking lug rides. Pretty common I guess. I called Jim about welding it and he said he had never done that but if he was going to he would have Bob Cogan do it. I called Bob up and told him about my barrel and that Jim said to give him a call. Bob Cogan really has a lot of respect for Jim as does everyone who knows him.

Truly the nicest guy I know. Do anything to help a stranger, let alone a friend!
Bob Cogan is a gifted 'smith with a lot of years' expertise. He did a great job on my Hardballer conv. to .460rowl. and slicking up my Detonics carry gun. Also an expert on Grizzlies and much more I'm sure. My own Colt-Wildey is a 3 bbl. set in a different display case, but is a later # in the series, almost #10. |
