That's interesting it says that. Marvel still sells them too:
however, note they say no slide hold back because it's aluminum!

Jason, that's what Dave Sinner told us and also what is noted on their website: www.stiguns.com
I haven't received any conversions yet, but as soon they arrive I'll test them on different "platforms".
I guess they should also fit the Para Ordnance if used with the magazine of the STI model 2011.

I have two of the colt conversions. I use it on a 70 series 1911 (also colt). It functions just like it was a .45.
They are expensive (Colt), but function flawlessly. I just wish I could load about 50 rounds in one magazine
