Hey Crazy Larry. Are you talking about having problems with one of the new Wildeys?
I have an older one and it shoots fine.
Just curious.

Mine was an "original", if you will, 475 that had LOTS of frame issues.

The gas system on mine was super finicky about loads that are not at the upper levels.
(yes, I cleaned it and even had it sonic cleaned and that didn't appear to help much)

I had it back to them for "adjustment", and when I got it back, it stove piped after the 5th round.
I confirmed with wildey the loads, bullets, cases, and primer selection. I do not limp-wrist my stuff.

Later found out that all they did was take the barrel off, push air and cleaner through it, and reassembled and sent it back.

$55 in shipping/FFL fees and I was no better off.

I sold it off to another poor sucker and washed my hands of it.

Hi . . .

I've been lurking a while. I hail from South Puget Sound, Wash. State. I have an Auto Mag on order and I'm sticking with Patrick. My limited contact with him leads me to believe he is doing everything in his power to make a go of this project and to treat his customers fairly and honestly.

Hang in there, Mr. Henry! My only fear is that I won't live long enough to have my kids slip my gun in the casket with me. You never know when a Zombie shooter will come in handy. I'm 76 years young and have  a Broken Heart condition.

Hey Capt'n.  You're a couple hours to the North of me (I'm in Vancouver).  When we receive our new AM's we should get together and compare zombie stories.  LOL

Welcome!  Thumbs Up
If you were happy and you knew it, would you clap your hands?

I got a set of dies from another forum member to do some "retro wildcats". I'm going to spend some evenings getting those prepped.

Just hoping to get EXACT OAL dimensions from Patrick and crew before I start final trimming.
I figure reaming the brass an extra 0.06" below where the bullets seat to won't prove dangerous.

They are in the process of moving equipment, which, is not all that surprising. Ruger had to ship LOTS of machining stuff around when they opened up their first non-CT based facility in NC (years ago).

I'm going to wait around till August to see what happens.

I too am standing with Patrick, He will get this done, and my personal opinion is that Patrick made a move in the right direction by parting with excel and bringing on Tim Bell.

Trivia question for the group mind:
In which edition of "The Executioner" did the AutoMag first appear?

For those who are hanging or standing with Patrick, has there been any correspondence to those who are waiting for delivery on their purchased FE or CE since the split with Excel?  Patrick did post a little but I am sure his lawyers keeps him refrained from discussing anything regarding Excel. However, progress and current status would be very helpful.
