Does anyone have any experience with walnut Auto Mag grips like Grips4u's 357/44 as far as longevity & durability? Will they stand up to the 44's recoil or are they just for show? Are there any similar grips  that are better?

Yes I have and thats how I got into making grips when I first contacted this guy he did not do the logos on the grips I sent him pics. of the TDE and Auto Mag and had him make me a couple sets dont get me wrong they are some nice looking grips but unless hes perfected his process they dont fit that good I had to work on them a little to get them to work and the first time you drop the bolt with the safety it will brake the back out they will take some light load shooting for a while but not a heavy load are not for me anyway. And I tried to get him to make me some grips for the automag III , IV and V but he didnt wont to fool with them so I said the hell with it I will do it my self went to lowes and bought a piece of wood and the rest is history but I see hes making them now. I think the best material for grips on the Auto Mag is micarta hands down.

I have some. They look good and so far are holding up well.
I did have to do some work on the back sides of them to prevent them from interfering with the internal mechanisms.

Hey William. Have you ever thought about making some wood grips to duplicate the grips on Clint 2?
I know those were painted plastic, but they looked dang good.
Just wondering.

I thought the Clint 2 were just TDE plastic grips faux painted?

I guess we could "water transfer" some wood on........
