Let me start by saying that I'm somewhat an idiot... After several attempts at repair, I finally sent the hammer strut from my AMT III off to a smith for cloning. 8 months later, I have clones in hand. Thay required quite a bit of fitting, but eventually a satisfactory fit was obtained. Now, upon trying to reassamble the gun, I find myself missing the hammer pivot pin, but besides that, I have NO idea how the rest of the parts go together. If someone would be so kind as to take a picture of their AMT III with the right side grip removed, I can fill in the blanks... Thanks in advance for your time and trouble. Jim

The II has a similar strut. All it takes is one pull of the trigger with the slide off to bend it.

The entire hammer spring/strut design is a complete POS. Not to mention the frame issues that get that whole snowball rolling. Take a look at the spring in pic 19. Jeez....what a cluster. Tony Rumore Tromix |
