Hi!
I recently acquired an AMT Automag III. Which i imported from the Netherlands to Belgium. When i purchased it, the gun was able to shoot but not reliably. It was quite dirty as well. Today I disassembled it completely open according to XP001's instructions, primarily to degrease and clean everything. It doesn't look like the hammerstrut is bent. But I noticed that the disconnector was very loose in the frame. It appears that the screw securing the disconnector on the trigger has come loose and stripped part of the thread on the screw due to frequent use of the trigger. Because the disconnector was loose, it has also become somewhat bent. I bent it back and happened to have exactly the same screw somewhere in a junk box in the garage. (yaay for hoarding ) I have the impression that the trigger works much better now, everything feels much tighter and it no longer feels like its rattling all over the place. I suspect that this will also solve the reset problem that I had every once in 20-30 rounds. Anyway, Luc asked me to post some pictures, so here I am... |

Wow, nice work at finding that issue and feeling brave enough to follow my instructions to get it done. Looks like a very nice clean pistol, have fun and be safe.
