Guys,

Happy days—I managed to find and quickly buy a Safariland 103 holster on E-Bay.

It would be great if I could find a matching #104 magazine pouch, but those seem even harder to find....

yeah, I’ve been lucky lately. Two weeks ago, I was able to buy a brand new, never used RCBS case-forming die set (no longer available but used to cost over $300).  I was able to buy-it-now for only $28! Clap

I posted a reply to a different Safariland 103 post, not realizing it’s on the photos page instead of here.

Read over there:

But reply here please.

Thanks!

Here are the pics of the holster I just got, that I can’t use because it’s too stiff and the gun won’t fit inside.

So...my problems are far more serious than I thought!

Although you can see where the holster has been ‘blocked’ to accept the Auto Mag, it is clearly too short!  The back of the gun sticks way out, and in the bottom photo when the gun is aligned with the protrusions for the recoil rods, the barrel sticks out past the end of the holster.

It almost seems as though this holster was created for a shorter-barreled Auto Mag, i.e. a Backpacker or similar. I took the barrel off and holstered just the frame, and it fit reasonably well and I could almost fasten the strap.

I would be interested to learn from others with a variation of the 103 about the length of their holsters. Along the top (front) edge, mine is 10 3/8 inches long. What about you?
