I have an AMT 380 backup that was manufactured in El Monte, CA and the serial number is AA0099. Made we wonder if this is possibly the 99th one made since I know that the early ones were made in El Monte. If it is in fact that early a model, any idea what the value of this gun would be?

Gotta love that high-quality AMT casting…
Neat little gun though. Does yours run pretty well?

Maybe the 99th gun marked AMT, but the first ones were marked OMC. I think the double A is uncommon though
I am curious how many OMC were made before Harry bought the company.

I've got an OMC in the 3,000 range. If I recall correctly, the earliest OMC's don't have the serial number marked above the trigger like that. I believe I saw one with a low 3 digit S/N and the stamping was above the grip safety.
