There is a clear Auto Mag on eBay for $2,999.99.
It did not come out in 1978.  I was in Japan when it was introduced in 1982 and it has nothing to do with Star Wars.  At the time, the manufacturer (MGC) said there would only be 100 made.
The picture shows the clear Auto Mag and a cut-a-way Auto Mag.
The clear gun has a round in the chamber........ Cheers

I remember visiting a toy store in Vancouver 1984 and they had these toy Automags. I recall the box showed a picture of it including reusable blanks that used those little cup shaped toy gun caps that squeezed in where the primer would go. Japanese made. The slide would pull back just like the real thing. Pretty sure it would have had to be hand cycled, but they showed a picture of it looking like it would cycle.
They also had a to scale model of the Colt Commando as well that I was drooling about!  My politically correct sister (before PC was fashionable) wouldn't front me the money to get it of course Lol.
