Los Angeles stopped issuing business licenses to gun stores so only un-incorporated cities, like Burbank have gun stores anymore.  They even put a reloading store out of business.

It still just amazes me how they just blatantly ignore the second amendment - that little part about "shall not be infringed".
A definition that seems to have been lost to many a states and city's policy makers.

INFRINGED definition:
Actively break the terms of (a law, agreement, etc.)
Act so as to LIMIT or UNDERMINE (something); ENCROACH ON.
...but hey, I'm probably preaching to the choir here.

So technically any pre- 85 Automag would be allowed,
....even the ones that sell for a more reasonable price, that don't mention that they are "California Legal" in their classifieds add.

Gun free zones and all other gun grabber agendas be damned - more like we need a return to common sense and rid ourselves of control freak, bureaucratic, hoplophobes.

At least you guys still have the 2nd to fall back on. Here in Canada we are still exposed to the whims of a government that just recently turned over all legal matters involving firearm classification to the Federal Police, the RCMP.
So now we have police writing laws that are not created by the judicial system through elected representatives.
The only thing 2nd that we have here in Canada is that if you are a licensed gun owner, you are a treated as a 2nd -class citizen - in regards to traffic stops, warrantless searches, lack of Charter of Rights, specifically guaranteed property rights. Angry

Section II: Firearms Classified As Curios Or Relics Under 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44

"Auto-Mag pistols, calibers .44 AMP and .357 AMP, mfd and/or assembled by Auto-Mag Corporation, TDE, OMC, High Standard, Lee Jurras, or AMT from 1969 to 1985."

Here in Los Angeles County,  California you need a C&R FFL  a COE, "Certificate Of Eligibility" and a Hunter Safety Permit to buy an Auto Mag from a gun shop.   Face to face sales are different but I'm not sure how it works.  During a recent trip to a gun store in Ventura County, the counter person said that only LA County requires an FFL to buy a C&R gun.   The rules change so fast and so often everyone is afraid they will become a criminal overnight with the next law that is passed.

So, does this mean that older, original Automags will be "classified as a Curio & Relic" and legal for California?
Newly manufactured ones will not be granted this exemption?
Just curious and even more curious at the price of the one recently listed on the GunsAmerica auction site $6650.

Doesn't seem to be too many up for sale lately, guess everyone is sitting tight on the older ones?
