Looks like a nice cruiser.  Plan on taking it on any cross country trips?
If you were happy and you knew it, would you clap your hands?

I have some property in Arizona that I visit during the year.  It's 350 miles one way.  About 5.5 hours.
I'll see if this old man is still up for the trip.  In 1975 I rode a BMW motorcycle from New Jersey to Los Angeles (Van Nuys) ok.  My last stab at youth.....sure looks like fun.  In AZ I can ride it with an Auto Mag strapped to my hip.
Cheers.......Bruce

That is also one fine machine Luc.  I'll bet it was a pleasure to ride.  At the end of a long ride you don't lay in bed that night and still feel the potato-potato of a Harley.  My other motorcycle is an Indian but I haven't ridden it for a while.

Hummm,  odd man out again,,,,

Never liked BMW bikes but to each his own.

Back in the day, I was a hardcore KZ-900/1000 guy

Then later the Yamaha FZR really spoke to me

I think my riding days are behind me, but if I were shopping,,, the Yamaha FJ's have always just looked perfect to me.

But as I said, to each his own.

As a MOPAR guy, I am used to being on the "other"  team  ;-)

Enjoy

What, no Earles fork?! It can't be a retro BMW without an Earles fork!

BMW has not offered the Earls Fork since 1969.
They did offer the Telelever Fork but I don't like it.
I'm not sure that an old Earls Fork would handle the weight of the new R-18.
The biggest problems reported about the new R-18 is the cramped foot placement and a really stiff clutch.  We will see.
