    Posted: 17 May 2019 at 2:58am
Being the proud owner of a couple of Auto Mags myself, I acquired one recently that came with the original case, but was missing the carry handle (including the dreaded foam deterioration syndrome).   I have heard and read that a lot of folks were the same boat as myself.  So, I decided to embark upon making a mold of an original factory handle (which I surgically removed from one of my good cases).  Not something for the faint of heart, as they are know to break very easily.  Anyway, after a couple of weeks of tweaking the mold, I believe that I have perfected a great replacement carry handle.   I have them listed on both GunBroker and Ebay.  I will try and include some pictures here as soon as the Gateway Server will let me upload and attach photos.  It keeps timing out on me (I am certain I am doing something incorrectly.....go figure)

If you want to order one, shoot me an email at:  theglasgowfamily@hotmail.com.

Sounded great until I saw the price! I'd get 4 or 5 if they were closer to $10 ea. Would like to see original in SxS pic.
Anyhow, this is link to GB auction...
https://www.gunbroker.com/item/814044702... could not find on Ebay.

I figured the subject of cost would come up.  Let's face it, I am not going to be able to retire off of selling these, but I also have to be able to recoup my costs.  If I were guaranteed to sell 1000 of them, I would absolutely sell them for closer to $10.  But even with that said, it wouldn't be worth my while to make them, package them, pay for postage and use gas to drop them off at the Post Office for $10.  Heck, I wouldn't even get out of bed for $10.  If nothing else, blame the high cost on Chinese Tariffs!

I make them out of high impact resin poured into a custom mold of the factory original handle

Chinese tariff?? So, they aren't made here? When you said "I made...", I assumed you meant you did the work to make the mold and then the handle. I'm sure you'll sell some, but I try hard not to send money to china.

Found the Ebay item...https://www.ebay.com/itm/TDE-AMT-replacement-carrying-handle-for-factory-Auto-Mag-case/273850107734?hash=item3fc2bd0756:g:LQ0AAOSwWLZc3hJi

FYI this should fit in a med. bubble env. for about $3.50-3.75.

USA1776 - Just for the record, these are made by my hands in the basement of my home in Indiana.  The 'Chinese Tariffs' was a joke to try and lighten the situation.  I could tell from your very first post that you were never going to buy one, especially if you only had $10 to spend (and quite honestly, given how much you think things are worth, I think you probably buy a lot of cheap Chinese goods!).  And, from the sounds of it, you work for the US Postal Service, since you are an expert on what things cost to ship.  Please do the forum a favor and move on to some other post.LOL

I bought a couple of yours.  Too nice to put on crappy cases so I still have them in a drawer.

Mrglasgow, looking at the pictures it looks like one of the "arms" has a wobble in it.  Does it, or is that just an optical illusion from angle/lighting?

Thanks.

If you were happy and you knew it, would you clap your hands?
