I have been looking for a list of serial numbers for the various AMP's. What I was wondering the range for Pasadena's, North Hollywoods, etc. Can someone point me in the right direction?

I have asked the same question several times over the years and never got a reply.
Good Luck & Merry Christmas.

Beemer,
This is about as much info as I have found. It is from the Blue Book of Gun Values by S.P. Fjestad.
FROM S.P. FJESTAD’S “Bluebook of Gun Values”
Pasadena mfg. - A0000 through A03700.
TDE North Hollywood - mostly A02500 through A05015, although some were marked with very low serial numbers.
TDE El Monte mfg. - A05016 through A08300. (Note: these numbers should only be used as a guideline - as the company name changed, serial numbers overlapped.)
High Standard "H" prefix. Serial numbers between H1 and H198, with one at H1566 and three between H17,219-H17,222, also sold Auto Mags between serial numbers A05278-A07637.
AMT manufactured the last two lots of Auto Mags; The "B" and the "C" Series. The last Auto Mags made by AMT were serial numbered LAST 1 through LAST 50. I find his book to be a good investment and usually buy his new editions. I do recommend it.
Hope this is helpful

And Remember there were custom serials, mainly in the Pasadena Series. Then the Jurras Guns, were marked LEJ-XXX for the Custom 100's with 44's and 357's sharing the serial number with one being 44X and the other 044. However, I can't remember which one is which now. Then the LEJ 41 JMP's had the same as one of the others, with an additional marking under the grip. If you find a custom 100 without an "LEJ", it's not an original Custom 100, there were some barrels that have showed up.

I also buy the Blue Book, but usually about every three years, not worth it every year in my opinion, and then I buy last years book at discount or used sometimes.

Thanks guys. You know, I have a Blue Book sitting on my coffee table right now and I never gave it a thought. I guess that I get too used to looking stuff up on the computor and forget my other references.
Merry Christmas to all!

Any information I have seen printed is just a guide, as Auto Mag serial numbers are a subject all by themself.
Bruce Stark may be able to shed some light on a certain number, but there are many exceptions to the numbering pattern you need to be aware of before passing judgement about any single gun.

Going through the numbers, I have a question about one of mine and hoping someone knowledgeable can help 'pass judgement'. The serial number is A08082 which puts it in the TDE El Monte range, but the barrel is a High Standard 357. Is it most likely that the barrel just got swapped somewhere in its life? Thanks, |
