Hey Bruce, I didn't mean to embarrass you sorry...
I bet you would draw attention walking some gunshow with that rig on your chest! Ha, now you got me wondering if it would fit... And yes, the C96 shoulderstock-holster would easily convert to hold the AMP pistol. Just need to drill out (larger hole) the barrelsection of the holster. Thanks for the info on the 8mm cartridge, I'm just curious to know what kind of bullet you use, pistol or rifle. (not much choice in 8mm bullets for handgun) Thanks, Luc. |

Here is a drawing of a bullet that I cast for the gun. The bullet mold is made by "Accurate Molds". They make custom molds per your design. I put a gas-check on the bullet and fill the lube groove with "The Blue Stuff". I have tried powder coating the exposed bullet but a quick shot of Rust-oleum works just fine. Eric Kincel originally had the idea of making this round for the Auto Mag. |

Is that a carbon steel frame and upper, or did you paint it?

The barrel and extension were made of a carbon steel and were blued. The frame is still a work-in-progress. I have used a bluing for stainless steel that just rubbed right off. I have used several different methods but nothing has worked so-far. I used a paint on the frame just for looks and you can see where it rubbed off from holster wear. An outfit near Reno claims they can blue it but I have heard of many of their attempts that went bad. Something will come along, I'll just wait. Bruce |

Bruce, I have used Brownells Oxynate 84 to hotblue stainless steel for years with good succes. The trick is to blue them a second time in their "regular" number 7 after the nr. 84. For realy though ones you need to quick dip the parts in acid before bading them in the oxynate 84. Also need to go very close to the maximum bluing temperature, so be carefull not to ruiing the salts. It's a stinky job but worked very well for me. |
