They make it really easy to hold onto the pistol under recoil - not pretty as wood but very practical.

They look "thick" in the pictures but it looks like they are using the same grip screws.
Do they make the grips feel too large? In talking to Patrick it sound like my FE is getting close and I was pondering getting a set for it.

They feel quite slim; yes they use the regular grip-screws.
